Planes, trains, ferries, buses, tiny cars and two weeks of grand fun!

April 14,2001 flew to Gatwick Airport outside London, then trained to Swansea
  and then ferry to Cork, Ireland 

then took a bus from Cork to Tralee in County Kerry

Lots of wedding prep for Meredith Cannon and Timothy O'Sullivan's wedding..
       

Bus trip to Dingle Peninsula April 18
     

Pre-wedding dinner at Ballyseede Castle evening of April 18
     

Wedding at St. Teresa and Colmcille's Church, Currans, Farranfore, Ireland, April 19, 2001
         

Reception at Ballygarry House, Tralee (where we stayed)
       

Train to Dublin April 20th
 

Train to Rosslare April 21st
  then ferry to Cherbourg, France     

Rented car in Bayeux and did the WWII stuff..
  German gun bunkers        Omaha Beach and Normandy museum        and American cemetery at Omaha Beach 

On to Mont Saint Michel (built by monks in 1000-1600 AD - and they're still working on it)
   

Then to Saint Malo   

Back to Bayeux to see the Tapestry Cathedral (of William the Conqueror)
 

Then trained to Nantes (PK shags for lunch) April 24th
 

Stayed with friends (Jean and Jacquline Nizou)
   

April 26th on to Paris...
   

Saint Chapelle by the Palace of Justice, Paris
     

Stayed at Angie, Bruno and baby Julia's house
   

April 29th, trained to Calais, France and ferry to Dover, England

Home again, home again on April 30th. What a grand trip we had!

Thank goodness we missed this train...
