At Roger and Gloria Meyer Farm, Gibbon MN

This is the Meyer family farm. They have been there for over 100 years. Phillip Meyer born 1818 near Hoha, Province Hanover Germany had 6 children. In 1877, son John (age 14) came to America. Sometime after 1880, he moved to Gibbon with brother Fred. He built this house and barn. One of his five children was Paul Meyer b. 3/17/1898 - CJ's grandfather. Paul married Rebecca Melhop and they had 10 children, including CJ's father, Harold b.11/24/1924. CJ's father was born here and CJ grew up visiting the farm OFTEN. Roger the youngest brother, who is now 69 years old has lived here his entire life. When he and Gloria move to town, their son Jeff plans to move to the farm place.
