New kitties in the house! 10 month old mom “Licorice” and 5 week old kitten “Coco.”

I went to Village Nursery down the road (the one under the wires on the dry river bed) last Saturday (June 28, 2008) to buy a pot, and came home with two kitties! They were born at the nursery and were living amongst the palettes, trailers, pottery and coyotes. Kitty is still nursing. We will take care of shots and fleas (many!) and neutering and whatnot - we are at least going to do that much and then find them a home if they can’t stay here (fingers crossed that they can)! They have their first “check-up” on Saturday. Cole & Levi named them. Mom is very amiable, but kitten is currently skittish and warming up slowly. What fun! They are so sweet!
